Glide through nature with Frances, taming the wild with her sketches.

The imagery in this painting pays homage to Frances Ann Hopkins, a British painter in the 18th century who sketched and painted her way through the eastern Canadian wilderness when she moved there with her husband.

• 30 x 34 inches, 1 inch depth, 10 lbs

• painted on a frame made out of wood and mdf board. It has been covered in sealant and gesso before painted. Silicone caulking used for impasto drawing has been encased in multiple layers of gesso before paint was applied.

• metallic enamel used on “frame” part of painting. It is recommended to use the cloth gloves provided when handling painting in order to preserve the finish.

• two metal D-hooks are installed on back for hanging signed, dated, and titled on back

This painting is shipped in cardboard with nothing touching the impasto painting surface. Soft white gloves are included for handling. Certificate of authenticity is included.
